Dr Yuigi Yuminaga is an Australian-trained urological surgeon. He graduated from the University of New South Wales medical school with honours and completed urological training across multiple hospitals in NSW and Flinders Medical Centre in Adelaide. As Australian fellowship years, he has done one year of open pelvic oncology and HoLEP at Flinders Medical Centre and one year of minimally invasive surgery including robotic surgery and PCNL at Nepean Hospital. He did a one-year fellowship at the specialist centre for kidney cancer at Royal Free Hospital London sub-specialising in renal cell carcinoma and urothelial cell carcinoma of the kidney with robotic, laparoscopic and open manners.
He is involved in urology trainees as a supervisor of training and mentors many aspiring junior doctors to pursue career of urology. He has been involved in the research with publications in multiple peer-reviewed journals and presentations locally and internationally. He is the chair of the uro-oncology multi-disciplinary meeting at Royal Perth Hospital and is striving to improve care for patients. He is the lead of Royal Perth Urology Research Group.
